Andhra Pradesh Municipal Election Results 2021 Live Updates: Counting underway, YSRCP leads

Authorities have made elaborate arrangements for the counting and arranged 176 tables for counting. The counting process will be conducted in three rounds with the counting of voters for 1 to 23 divisions to take place in the first round.

Andhra Pradesh Municipal Election Results 2021 Live Updates: The counting of votes for the 11 municipal corporations and 71 municipalities — Nagar Panchayats — began today on 14th March 2021. This year, the Andhra Pradesh municipal  elections saw a triangular battle between the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSR Congress), Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The polling was conducted on March 10 amid strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols. Over 63% polling was recorded in the Andhra Pradesh municipal election.

10:30 am: Nellimarla nagar panchayat results

TDP has won three wards, YSRCP has won six wards, Independent one.


10:12 am: YSRCP wins 31 of 32 wards in Dhone municipality

The YSRCP has won 31 of 32 wards at Dhone municipality in Kurnool district, CPI has won one.


9:30 am: YSRCP leads in ballots’ counting 

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) is leading on postal ballot counting.

Authorities have made elaborate arrangements for the counting and arranged 176 tables for counting. The counting process will be conducted in three rounds with the counting of voters for 1 to 23 divisions to take place in the first round. After declaring results, votes polled in 24 to 46 divisions will be counted in the second round. Finally, counting of votes polled in 47 to 64 divisions will be counted in the final round.
