The Autonomous Space Agency Network (ASAN) launched a “protest in space” against US President Donald Trump in solidarity with the upcoming March for Science.

The group sent a weather balloon to space with a printed-out anti-Trump tweet attached to it.

The group said that their protest was inspired by the Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell, who said “”From out there on the Moon, international politics look so petty. You want to grab a politician by the scruff of the neck and drag him a quarter of a million miles out and say, ‘Look at that, you son of a b—h.”

ASAN used Mitchell’s words, , ‘Look at that, you son of a b—h’, to address the US president from 90,000 feet.

March for Science protest will take place on Earth Day, April 22. Scientists and Science enthusiasts are hosting the event to celebrate the role scientists play in public policy and highlight the Trump administration’s anti-science agenda.
