Building Phase 1 of the cutting-edge airport has cost more than Rs 1450 crore. A 6500-square-meter building at the airport serves more than 10 lakh people every year. It has a 2,200-meter runway and room for four planes to park.

The front of the airport building looks like the design of the holy city’s Shri Ram Mandir temple. Local art, drawings, and sculptures that show the life of Lord Shri Ram can be found inside the terminal building.

The Ayodhya Airport main building has many eco-friendly features, such as an insulated roof, LED lighting, landscaping with waterfalls, rainwater collection, a water treatment plant, a sewage treatment plant, a solar power plant, and more.

To meet the requirements of the Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA), these features have been added. It is a rating system that helps people figure out how well a building meets standards that are accepted across the country.

In addition to improving infrastructure, the airport will also make it easier for people to get to other places, which will lead to more tourists, business, and job possibilities.

Minister of Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia also asked the major airlines to start flying between Ayodhya and foreign cities in order to promote the city and make it a top tourist location.
