Badaun Lok Sabha Constituency, Uttar Pradesh: Current MP, Candidates, Polling Date and Election Results

Badaun is one of the ten constituencies in Uttar Pradesh to go on polls in the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2019 on Tuesday, April 23. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded Sangh Mitra Maurya, while Saleem Iqbal Shervani is the Congress candidate. Dharmendra Yadav has been entrusted by the Samajwadi Party.

The voting for Uttar Pradesh’s 80 parliamentary seats will take place across the seven phases of the 2019 General elections beginning April 11. The last phase will be held on May 19.

Badaun Parliamentary constituency consists of a total of 1,405,695 electorates of which 628,082 are females and 777,613 are males, according to the EC 2018 data.

Badaun Lok Sabha constituency comprises five Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) segments: Badaun, Bilsi, Dataganj, Bisauli, Sahaswan, Shekhupur

In Phase III of the voting for the 17th Lok Sabha, elections will take place in 115 Lok Sabha constituencies across 14 states. Voting for this phase will take place on April 23. While, like all the other phases, counting will take place in May 23.

Along with Lok Sabha Elections, voting will also take place for the third phase of Odisha Assembly Elections 2019. The turnout in the last general election in 2014 was more than 66%, up from 45% in 1951 when the first election was held.
