This year, Basant Panchami would be celebrated on 10th February 2019. At some places, the day will be celebrated on 9 February as the Panchami tithi begins at 12:25 pm on 9 February 2019 and end at 14:08 pm on 10 February.
It is believed that Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge, music, arts, wisdom and learning, was born on this day. It’s a big day for students, with schools, colleges and other educational institutions arranging pujas and celebrating the occasion in a grand way.
