The forest officials have sent warnings to Varthur Santhosh’s close assistant Ranjit and the jeweler who is said to have made the gold chain after questioning him.
Santhosh gave different accounts of how he got the tiger claws while being questioned, which is why more people are being questioned in the case. For now, the forest department has sent the claws to a forensic lab to find out if they belong to a tiger or another animal.

Santhosh was arrested on the Bigg Boss sets on Sunday night for wearing tiger claws without a permit. The forest department filed the case on its own. Santhosh was quizzed for several hours on Monday and given a physical test. He was taken to a judge in Koramangala and put in judicial prison for 14 days. As per Santhosh’s mother, he has been wearing it to events, and she doesn’t know if it’s a real claw or a fake one.
The lawyers for Santhosh asked for bail on Monday, and the judge gave the prosecutors until Wednesday to object. The bail meeting is most likely on October 25.
