The state government also announced key appointments in state commissions: Vishwanath Rishi has been named the chairperson of the Mahadalit Commission, while Devendra Kumar takes over as vice-chairperson of the Scheduled Caste (SC) Commission. New SC Commission members include Lalan Ram, Rubel Ravidas, and Sanjay Kumar, while Ram Naresh Kumar and Ishwar Rajak join as members of the Mahadalit Commission.

This wide-ranging reshuffle is seen as a strategic move by the Nitish Kumar government to strengthen its administrative setup ahead of the crucial elections later this year.
