In a heinous incident,  a 48-year-old man chopped off his wife’s head with a sharp weapon in Buxar district on Friday near Brahmpur Shiv Mandir under Brahmpur police station area.

The accused, identified as Algu Yadav directly went to the police station in Buxar district to surrender.

On Friday, the husband reached where his wife Chandni Devi was working and beheaded her using a sharp-edged weapon. The residents at the spot pelting stones at the man in an attempt to stop him from attacking his wife. However, he kept on hitting her until she died.

According to the reports by Times Now, the couple got married in 2013 and has a daughter. Chandni Devi was a resident of Pakur district in Jharkhand. Few years after the marriage, the couple had disagreements and both started to live separately. Their dispute even reached the court.

Chandni Devi was working at a local mall. Algu was reportedly pressurising the woman to withdraw the court case and promising to take her back but Chandni did not agree. The woman had demanded maintenance from her husband, who worked as a mason.

On Friday morning, Algu called Chandni near a road when she was heading to her job. He attacked his wife in the middle of the road with a sharp-edged weapon and she died on spot.
