Bihar Polls 2020: Despite BJP's warning, LJP's new poster talks about transforming Bihar with PM Modi

BJP and JD(U) have announced the seat-sharing deal for the Bihar Assembly Elections that is all set to contest in three phases. JD (U), will contest 122 seats and the BJP 121 seats in the 243-member assembly. The BJP also reiterated that the alliance is fighting the election under Nitish Kumar’s leadership.

The BJP today issued a strong message to Chirag Paswan and its rebels queueing up to contest the coming elections from his party. ‘Come back to the BJP fold or be expelled’ was the message, delivered in clear terms by the party’s seniormost leader in the state Sushil Modi and its state elections in-charge Devendra Fadnavis.

However, Chirag Paswan is claiming to support BJP in the upcoming elections. The BJP has made it clear that no one other than the NDA will use PM Modi’s photograph in the election campaign.

LJP continues to use the Prime Minister’s Modi picture for the election campaign. Now, a poster on social media read, “We will see Bihar, Modiji will see Hindustan” is going viral. It has a picture of PM Modi along with Chirag Paswan and Ram Vilas Paswan.

LJP’s “Modi Prem” remains intact despite BJP’s strict instructions.

BJP chief Sanjay Jaiswal and Sushil Modi tightened the screws, saying anyone contesting from NDA will have to accept the leadership of Nitish Kumar and action will be taken against any non-NDA candidate seen seeking votes in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Meanwhile, Bihar BJP leader Usha Vidyarthi joined the LJP on Wednesday after meeting its president Chirag Paswan and is now likely to be fielded from the Paliganj assembly seat where the JD(U) will contest as well.

Vidyarthi, a former MLA, joined the LJP a day after another senior BJP leader from the state, Rajendra Singh, who was associated with the RSS for a long time, joined Paswan’s party.

Today, the NDA announced its seat-sharing deal with smaller allies.  The BJP has decided to give 11 seats from its share to the VIP. The Janata Dal-United had already earmarked seven seats from its share to Jitan Ram Manjhi’s HAM.
