Bihar: RJD worker shot at in Saharsa, JDU candidate’ brother accused

Saharsa: Neeraj Nirala, a Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) worker was shot at in Saharsa district allegedly by the opposition party workers for campaigning here. The incident happened in Banma Itihari police station’s Telia Haat area.

Nirala has accused JDU candidate Dinesh Chandra Yadav’s brother Ramesh for the attack. He said Ramesh was constantly asking him to not campaign for RJD. Nirala added, his bike was also snatched away. When he continued to campaign, he was shot at.

According to Nirala, the assailants before aiming at him said, they will hurt him in a way that he will remain in bed for the whole duration of the Lok Sabha elections 2019.

The injured has been admitted to the Sadar hospital, while the police have begun a probe into the matter.
