In another dreadful incident, a BJP worker was allegedly hacked to death in Kerala’s Thrissur district late on Sunday. As per a report in CNN News18, a BJP worker called Nirmal was stabbed to death following a battle during celebrations at a temple in Mukkattukara.

The BJP state unit has alleged that the reigning CPM was behind the horrible act. It has called for a strike on Monday in Thrissur district. Reportedly, Police suspect personal rivalry behind the incident. However, the more details can be given only after the investigation.

The incident comes in a backdrop of a conflict between the CPM and the BJP-RSS that has been mounting over the past few months. Earlier this month, BJP’s Kerala vice president P P Vava lost eye sight in his left eye and eight other party workers got injured in a clash with police during a protest.
