Bob Dylan Birthday Special: 5 best songs of the singer that deserves to be in playlist

The failed attempt of Nobel officials in knocking on Bob Dylan’s door was the major headline last week. Dylan was playing at a concert in Las Vegas on the night when the Nobel was announced. He ended the set with a cover of Frank Sinatra’s ‘Why Try to Change Me Now’. But he made no mention of the accolade and it took five days to update the Nobel declaration on Dylan’s website.

But now the simple words “Winner of the Nobel prize in literature”, which appeared on the page for the lyrics:1961-2012, has also been removed. The recently awarded Nobel laureate is now again plain Bob Dylan. Dylan, who deluged his fans with urban folk has always stepped away from confining himself to things which fit into the matrix.

According to Sara Danius, the Nobel academy’s permanent secretary, attempts had been made to contact Dylan about the award via close associates of his but he had kept silent.

The latest twist may be the result of an administrative foul up that Dylan never knew  that either his website had made reference to the prize or removed it. He even admitted in his autobiography about his efforts to get out of the rat race.

Dylan Fans across the globe believes the explosive smelling Nobel Prize would contaminate his hippy belly. Dylan can take inspiration from Jean Paul Sartre, who turned down on the prize and refused to be institutionalised.

$1.4 million is not enough to buy back Dylan’s soul. The Nobel official, who desperately seeks his reply can obviously look through his soul to see the answer which is still blowing in the wind.
