The body of a woman constable of Delhi police was found with a head injury in a car in south Delhi’s Lodhi Colony area on Tuesday, May 5. The police said they are waiting for the autopsy report of the deceased.
The deceased has been identified as a woman constable of Delhi Police, The body has been sent to AIIMS for postmortem.
“The body of a woman, who is believed to be in her early 30s, was found in a car with a visible injury on her head. However, the nature of injury will be confirmed only after the postmortem,” PTI quoted Atul Kumar Thakur, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) as saying.
A case of murder has been registered at Lodhi Colony police station and further investigation is underway.
This is the third murder case reported in Delhi between Monday and Tuesday morning even as a majority of the police personnel remain on streets enforcing the lockdown rules.
On Monday morning, the body of a 23-year-old woman was found in a locked factory in outer Delhi’s Narela industrial area. The police are looking for her friend, who was last seen with her in the factory on Sunday and has been missing since the murder came to light.
