The Border Security Force constable Tej Bahadur Yadav whose videos on social media about the food served at the Line of Control had created a controversy last month – is allegedly missing. His family member has filed an appeal in High Court saying they have no idea of his locations.

As per the family’s claim, they have sent two letters to the Border Security Force Director General to know about Yadav, but received no answer from him.

“His wife talked to him last on February 7. We have been calling him on his mobile number but it goes unanswered,” said his brother-in-law Vijay as per the reports. “When we contact on his official phone number, nobody tells us about his location or they put our phone calls on hold.”

Yadav’s family had earlier also alleged that he was being threatened and tortured. Now, his wife Sharmila has sought an inquiry into his disappearance and rejection of his plea for voluntary retirement.

Ranbir Singh, general secretary of the Ex-paramilitary Personnel Welfare Association said, he had met the BSF Director General along with Yadav’s wife and brother. The officer had claimed that Yadav had been hospitalized after he fell sick. He had also assured an inquiry into the issue.

Yadav in videos on social media had alleged that poor quality food was served to the jawans at the LoC. He had also said that top officers were illegitimately selling food supplies meant for men. After the posts with the several video clips went viral, the Prime Minister’s Office had sought a report and the home ministry had led a probe. But the investigation had concluded his claims were unsubstantiated.
