Shark Tank India back with Season 2, Ashneer Grover not in panel

After a brilliant first season that revved up India’s business growth engine and changed the way the country views entrepreneurship, the Indian adaptation of the World’s No.1 Business Reality format, Shark Tank India, returns with the second season, brought to you by Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV. Shark Tank India will once again provide a platform for entrepreneurs to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams by pitching their business ideas to experienced investors and business experts known as The Sharks.

Former BharatPe founder Ashneer Grover was replaced as a judge by Amit Jain, co-founder and CEO of CarDekho. Amit Jain is a Jaipur native and IIT Delhi alumnus. Jain and his brother converted their garage into a makeshift office in 2006 and founded GirnarSoft, a software outsourcing firm.

As the promo suggests, Shark Tank India season 1 provided the audience with a fresh perspective on their own businesses, as well as a slew of entrepreneurial jargon such as equity, valuation, shares, and so on! With some innovative startups and appealing investments, the season was the talk of the town. Early Man Films produced the promo, which was directed by Abhinav Pratiman. Tanmay Bhat, Devaiah Bopanna, Puneet Chadha, and Deep Joshi wrote it.

Sharks from Season 1 are gearing up to invest in potential businesses this season, including Anupam Mittal (Founder and CEO of Shaadi.com – People Group), Aman Gupta (Co-Founder and CMO of boAt), Namita Thapar (Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Vineeta Singh (Co-Founder and CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics), Peyush Bansal (Founder & CEO of Lenskart.com), and Rahul Dua, an extremely talented stand-up comedian, will host the show and add levity to the complex business discussions.

So buckle your seatbelts and prepare to board the Shark Tank India 2 train to see fertile Indian minds hatch innovative business ideas.
