Rajneesh Sharma, the SHO of the Sarita Vihar police station in this city, died of dengue. He had been in the hospital for several days. This is Delhi’s first death of the year. Rajnish Sharma was a member of the 1997 batch of officers. He was the SHO of the New Delhi Railway Station police station before taking over at Sarita Vihar. He had a fever for a few days. During the investigation, it was discovered that he had dengue. He and his family lived in Rohini. His final rites will also take place in Rohini. Rajneesh Sharma was admitted to Maharaja Agrasen Hospital in Rohini for treatment five days ago. He passed away on Wednesday morning.

Dengue fever in Delhi

Dengue fever cases are not going away in Delhi. In the last week, 299 dengue cases have been reported in Delhi. Up until the 26th of October, 1238 dengue cases were reported in Delhi. At the same time, only 693 cases of dengue fever were reported in September. So far this year, 2175 dengue cases have been reported in Delhi.

Cases of Malaria and Chikungunya

This year, however, 200 cases of malaria and 40 cases of chikungunya have been reported. At the same time, 75 cases of malaria and 17 cases of chikungunya have been discovered in the month of October alone. In Delhi, 1196 dengue cases were reported in the month of October 2021. According to the data, between 2017 and 2022, Delhi had the fewest cases in the month of October in 2020, with 346 dengue patients discovered. The month of February saw the fewest dengue cases in Delhi this year, with only 16 patients found.
