In anticipation of the anticipated surge in passenger volume, the East Central Railway network will be furnished with dedicated Chhath Pooja trains by the Indian Railways. The East Central Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer, Veerendra Kumar, has stated that Pooja Special trains will operate on multiple routes.

Train number 05271/05272, commonly referred to as the Muzaffarpur-Yashvantpur-Muzaffarpur Express Special, will operate on Fridays from October 6 to December 8 from Muzaffarpur to Yashvantpur, and on Mondays from December 9 to December 11 from Yashvantpur to Muzaffarpur. Train number 05271 departs Muzaffarpur at 15:30 on Fridays and arrives at Yashvantpur at 19:00 on Sundays, stopping in Hajipur, Patliputra, Ara, Buxar, and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction en route.

Train number 05272 will depart Yashvantpur at 07:30 on Mondays and arrive in Muzaffarpur at 12:00 on the subsequent day for the return journey. Twelve overnight coaches, three general coaches, two AC 2-tier coaches, and four AC 3-tier coaches will comprise the configuration of this train.

The Barauni-Yashvantpur Express Special, train number 05215/05216, will operate on Saturdays from Barauni to Yashvantpur from December 7 to December 9, and on Tuesdays from Yashvantpur to Barauni from October 10 to December 12.

Saturdays at 13:20, train number 05215 will depart Barauni for Yashvantpur via Patliputra, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, and Hajipur en route. The train will reach its destination at 19:00 on Mondays. Train number 05216 will depart Yashvantpur at 07:30 on Tuesdays and arrive in Barauni at 14:00 on the subsequent day during its return journey. Twelve slumber coaches, three general coaches, two AC 2-tier coaches, and four AC 3-tier coaches will comprise this special train.
