Chhattisgarh: On knowing wife’s affair, husband beheads her lover

In a shocking incident reported, a man on suspecting his wife of having an extra-marital affair, allegedly murdered his wife (Beena Roy) lover, identified as Rakesh Mandal. As per the reports, the accused identified as Vinay Roy used a sharp knife and chopped of the lover’s head from the torso.

The 37-year-old accused surrendered himself to the police officials. During questioning, Vinay confessed that his wife had an affair with the deceased from a very long time and thus, he killed the man.

He further told that his wife and the deceased Rakesh had started seeing each other two years back while he used to be away for the work in Maharashtra. Eventually, the two started living together in the Vinay’s house and threw him away from his own property.

Displeased with his wife’s affair, Vinay on Saturday reached his wife’s home and murdered Rakesh who was sitting on chair with Beena, watching a movie on phone. During the incident, wife Beena tried to intervene, following which, two of her fingers got chopped from her hands.

As the incident came to light, there was a ruckus and panic around the place. The villagers protested ad crated chaos on the streets. On receiving the information, police came into prompt action and reached the spot to handle the situation.

Observing the uncontrollably aggressive villagers, the police ultimately had to resort to the lathi charge to calm the situation.
