Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh district court has issued a death warrant against the teacher who raped his 4-year-old student. Rapist, Mahendra Singh Gond will be hanged in Jabalpur Jail on March 2. After the judgment on child rape law passed, this would be the first implementation of the law.

The rapist had kidnapped the girl on June 30 last year and the brutality of the crime made the police to solve the case at the earliest. He was arrested by the police within a few hours. He dumped the girl in a jungle assuming her to be dead but after the girl was traced by her family members she was rushed to the hospital. The girl obtained major injuries in the brutal act and was airlifted to Delhi so that she can be treated in AIIMS.

The victim’s statement played an important role in proving the school teacher guilty of the crime and the statement was recorded through video conferencing. On September 19 last year, a session court sentenced the teacher to capital punishment. The high court of MP noted several points which stated that the crime was rare of the rarest and was committed by a teacher, keeping that in view the High court confirmed the death penalty imposed on January 25.

Superintendent of Jabalpur Central Jail, Gopal Tamrakr said that “we received an email from Satna court which said that Gond would be executed at 5 am on March 2. However, he added that the hanging can still be stopped by the Supreme Court or the President.
