Congress President Rahul Gandhi addressed media after the party gains lead in the State Assembly Elections of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The party President praised the Congress leaders who won the seats for Congress in Telangana and Mizoram, despite the loss of the party in those states.

“Want to congratulate the people and party workers. This is the win of farmers, youth and Congress workers”, said the Congress Chief in his address to the media.

“The states where we lost, in Telangana and Mizoram, I want to congratulate the winners, “We have defeated the bjp in rajasthan , mp, chattisgarh. We will now start our work on the vision we have for these states. We are going to provide these states with a government they can be proud of, Rahul further added. “There is a feeling throughout the country that what Mr Modi committed, he couldn’t deliver”.

The election in Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram took place on 28 November, whereas Chhattisgarh Elections took place across two phases on November 12 and November 20.

The election in the states of Rajasthan and Telangana took place on 7 December, while the vote counting of all the five elections happened on 11 December.

Congress win Chhattisgarh Elections by a landslide margin, whereas it has been lingering around the majority mark in Rajasthan. TRS prevailed in Telangana and in Mizoram Mizo National Front will turn out to be in majority. The contest in Madhya Pradesh is still red hot with both Congress and BJP having a lead at 111 seats!
