Congress has released a list of 19 candidates on Thursday afternoon for the second phase of polling in the Chhattisgarh assembly election. With the latest list, Tamradhwaj Sahu has replaced Pratima Chandrakar at Durg Rural constituency and the party has announced candidates for all the 90 constituencies of Chhattisgarh, after the today’s list. The polling will be held in two phases November 12 and 20 in the state.

The first phase includes Maoists affected areas including Rajnandgaon, the constituency of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, where Congress has fielded niece of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Karuna Shukla.
Congress is trying to end his 15 years of exile in the state, however, a triangular contest is evident in the state among Janta Congress Chhattisgarh, Congress and BJP.
