Ahead of Chhattisgarh assembly election, Congress released its second list of candidates on Monday, including Karuna Shukla, who is the niece of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, against Chief Minister Raman Singh from Rajanandgaon.
Karuna Shukla is a senior Congress leader and has been very vocal on various issues related to Chhattisgarh. Shukla came into light when she alleged that BJP is insulting remains of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Apart from Karuna Shukla, Girwar Janghel from Khairagarh, Bhuneshwar Singh Baghel from Dongargarh (SC), Daleshwar Sahu from Dongargaon, Smt. Channi Sahu from Khujji and Indra Shah Mandavi from Mohla Manpur (ST) have been given opportunity from Congress side.
