Mumbai: On Friday, 3 employees of Republic TV have been tested positive for COVID-19. Maharashtra has reported the highest number of COVID-19 patients. Mumbai rose to 14,541and death toll reached 583.
Freelance Journalist Shashi Shankar Singh tweeted that 3 employees of Republic TV in Mumbai had tested positive for coronavirus.

Republic TV is an Indian TV news channel co-founded by Arnab Goswami (former editor-in-chief of Times Now). The channel was launched on 6 May 2017 as a free-to-air channel. On April 21, Arnab announced his resignation from The Editors Guild of India.
On April 20, 53 journalists in Mumbai had tested positive for COVID-19. The cases came into light after a senior journalist in the city, Ashok Bagriya, tweeted that an entire team had tested positive. He asked media houses to facilitate journalists.
Around 30 Mumbai journalists examinted by @mybmc, have tested #COVID positive. Most are asymptomatic.

Maharashtra has reported the highest number of COVID-19 patients. Mumbai rose to 14,541and death toll reached 583. The BMC has arranged over 3000 rooms in 88 hotels to quarantine people returning from various countries in the coming days. Out of 64 evacuation flights under Vande Bharat Mission, seven will land in Mumbai carrying 1900 passengers. Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray also held a meeting with a central team and discussed increasing the capacity of institutional quarantine in the state.
As per the latest update by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of coronavirus cases in the country stands at 56,342, including 16,540recovered and 1,886 deaths.
