Mumbai: Due to the nationwide lockdown, the state government postponed the MHT-CET exam which was scheduled from April 13 to 23, till further orders released by the authorities. The state’s CET cell released a circular on Tuesday, March 24 evening after the three-week nationwide lockdown was declared by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Once the hall ticket will be released, it will be available at the website- mahacet.org and the candidates can download from the official website.
Over four lakh students have registered for admissions to engineering, pharmacy, agriculture and allied courses in the state.
“MHT-CET 2020, which was scheduled from April 13 to 23, 2020 has been postponed till further orders. This is being clarified in the interest of the candidates who have registered for MHT-CET 2020,” the notification mentioned.
Out of the total, a majority of the students are engineering aspirants. The MHT CET examination was one of the major entrance exams held at the state level.
It is noted by all students to check the state’s CET cell website regularly for exam updates.
The cell had already postponed the MCA entrance exam slated on March 28. The entrance exam for LLB five- year programme scheduled in the first week, may also be suspended shortly.
Due to the coronavirus, the Maharashtra Board decided to discontinue the SSC or class 10 exams. The MSBSHSE had said that while the exams for classes 1 to 8 will not be held, the examinations for class 9 and 11 will be held after April 15.
