Xiaomi 15: Xiaomi will launch the first smartphone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in mid-October 2024.
The Xiaomi 15 and the Xiaomi 15 Pro are likely to launch in Q1, 2025. This coincides with the release of the Xiaomi 14 in China.
Xiaomi has the exclusive rights to debut the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 4-powered smartphone, according to another well-known tipster on X (formerly Twitter).
According to the listing, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset scored 17,69,083 points, which is lower than the current flagship chipset.
Since it is an engineering sample of the SoC, there is heavy CPU throttling, resulting in lower scores.
Qualcomm will equip the chipset with two high-performance cores and six efficiency cores, based on the benchmarking platform.
Clock speeds for the high-performance cores could range from 3.6GHz to 4.0GHz.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is expected to score 2,700 points in single-core tests and 10,000 points in multi-core tests.
The Xiaomi 15 is expected to feature a 6.36-inch AMOLED display with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and a 50MP primary camera.
