Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and Chhota Shakeel’s sons have allegedly taken a spiritual path in their lives. Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar’s son was absconding for the last one year and is discovered to become a ‘Maulana’ whereas; Dawood’s confidante Chhota Shakeel’s only son became a ‘Hafiz’.
Mubashir Shaikh is the third and youngest child of Chhota Shakeel. The 18-year-old son of the don has memorised the whole Quran which has 6,236 verses to become a ‘Hafiz-e-Quran’. The only son of the don lives with him in Pakistan’s Karachi. Embracing the religious path, Mubashir has started teaching an preaching of Quran verses to people in Karachi.

Chhota Shakeel is a close aide of Dawood Ibrahim and has been a prime operator of Dawood’s “D Company”. Before the 1980s he was an owner of a travel agency that was suspected of credentials at Nagpada in South Mumbai. In the 1980s he joined Dawood Ibrahim’s gang only to become a mafia star.
In the year 1988, he was arrested under the National Security Act and spent nearly four months in jail. Seeing the troubles hovering around him, he escaped out of the country as soon as he got a bail and started living in Dubai.
He is also accused of planning and executing India’s biggest terror attack ‘Mumbai Serial Blasts’ in March 1993. Later they shifted their base out of Pakistan.
