New Delhi: 3 days after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that he will go on an indefinite hunger strike starting March 1, demanding full statehood, the Delhi government will present its budget on Tuesday. Delhi finance minister Manish Sisodia will present the fourth budget of the government at the legislative assembly on 11 PM.

The Aam Aadmi Party had an unusual start. The leader of the party and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was among those who were at the forefront of an anti-corruption movement during the fag- end of the UPA- II Government led by the Congress.

In 2015, the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) slogan ‘paanch saal Kejriwal’ found such resonance in Delhi that the party ended up rewriting electoral history by winning 67 of the 70 assembly seats.

The current Delhi regime has been in a constant tussle with the Lieutenant Governor of the state Anil Baijal. AAP has been continuously accusing him creating hurdles and restricting works laid out by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

In a much awaited judgement, a two judge Supreme Court bench had delivered a split verdict on the issue of control of services between the Delhi government and the Centre, and referred the matter to a larger bench.
