Delhi: Building collapses in Sadar Bazaar, several people trapped under debris; Rescue operations underway  

 The Sadar Bazar area of Delhi is one of the most densely populated areas. The incident took place near Qureshi Nagar, Charkhiwali Gully in Sadar Bazar. At present, 6 buses of the fire brigade are engaged in rescue and relief operations.

Several people are still buried in the debris after a building collapsed in Delhi’s Sadar Bazaar. The fire brigade and the administrative authorities have started rescue and relief operations. So far, five people have been evacuated from the debris till the latest information is received. Three of them are reported to be in critical condition.

 The Sadar Bazaar area of Delhi is one of the most densely populated areas. The incident took place near Qureshi Nagar, Charkhiwali Gully in Sadar Bazaar. At present, 6 buses of the fire brigade are engaged in rescue and relief operations.

As the building fell, there was a panic in the area and people began to flee. The people immediately called the fire brigade. As soon as the information was received, the fire department staff reached the spot and were engaged in rescue operations. 

Delhi Fire Department director Atul Garg said, the house collapse was reported at around 10.30 a.m. and six trains of the fire brigade were sent to the spot. He said that so far five people have been rescued, three of whom are in critical condition. He said the search operation is still going.
