New Delhi: In a case of double murder, a Delhi-based fashion designer Mala Lakhani and her servant were found dead at the Vasant Kunj residence on Thursday morning. Sources said the miscreants killed her brutally with a sharp-edged weapon and stabbed her around 10 times.
The dead servant has been identified as 50-year-old Bahadur.
As per the early reports, the neighbours heard a heated argument around 3 AM, post which they alerted the police. On reaching the crime spot, the police found their bodies, lying in a pool of blood and house was ransacked.
Bodies of the deceased have been sent for the post-mortem.
Lakhani used to live in a very well-guarded house with high walls and hence, the needle of suspicion is on the guards so far.
The police have launched an investigation into the case. The officials are verifying the facts to ascertain the exact motive behind the murder. Meanwhile, three guards have been detained so far.
