The Delhi High Court took an unusual approach in settling a dispute between two neighbours by ordering them to deliver pizzas and buttermilk to an ashram’s residents.
The order followed an agreement to quash FIRs filed against each other after a disagreement over pet handling escalated.
Justice Arun Monga emphasized that continuing criminal proceedings would only prolong hostility, while dismissal could enhance cordiality between the parties. Both individuals involved in the FIRs have chosen to embrace this resolution to foster goodwill and communal harmony.
As one party involved runs a pizza business, the court specified the supply of pizzas and buttermilk to Sanskar Ashram’s residents as a form of community service. The court intervened to ensure no undue hardship and promote societal peace.
