Kangana Ranaut is Bollywood’s one of the most sought after actresses and it won’t be an understatement to say that her movie Queen (2014) has played a major role in that. Her portrayal as Rani in the film has not only won praise from all over but also a National Film Award.
But do you know? the film was first offered to Kareena Kapoor Khan and not Kangana Ranaut. Yes, you read it right!
Kareena made the big revelation at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, which she co-attended with her Good Newwz co-star Akshay Kumar. When the host named a number of films including Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Queen, Black, Fashion and Chennai Express saying that they were rejected by Kareena, the actress said that only one or two out of them were correct.
She then revealed that she was offered Queen and that she does not regret the decision of rejecting it. The actress added, “I never look back. If I have said no to a film, it was because it did not suit me at that point in time. The last thing I would do is to say no to someone without any reason.”
On the work front, Kareena Kapoor will be next seen in Good Newwz along with Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani. The film, a joint production venture between Zee Studios, Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films, is slated to arrive in cinemas on December 27.
