Tollywood actress Dimple Hayathi was charged with striking the parked vehicle of a local IPS officer, according to a criminal complaint filed by the Hyderabad police. She claimed the officer was abusing his authority.
Rahul Hegde, deputy commissioner of police (Traffic), stated that his vehicle was parked at his domicile when it was struck by a resident of the same apartment complex. The CCTV footage revealed that Dimple and her companion were allegedly responsible for the crime.
After Rahul’s chauffeur filed a report at the Jubilee Hills police station, the officers opened a criminal investigation and summoned Dimple for questioning.
“In the past too, they used to create trouble by blocking my car. Due to my job responsibilities, I generally have to act quickly in leaving the place by taking the car to attend my work. But they used to create hurdles to block the car,” Rahul told the media.
Meanwhile, taking to Twitter, Dimple alleged that “Using power doesn’t stop any mistake. Misuse of power doesn’t hide mistakes. #satyameva jayate”.
