The country is currently facing the wrath of pandemic coronavirus and also there is a nationwide lockdown owing to the same going on. There has been a lot of misinformation being spread on social media these days which results in panic.
In one of the case, a post has been doing rounds which says that a COVID-19 positive has been found in Bihar’s Purnia and a media portal has carried the information owing to the panic.

FACT CHECK
However, the claim of coronavirus infected patient being found in Bihar’s Purnia was refuted by Purnia’s DM Rahul Kumar. He said that it is false news and legal action should be taken against the media portal which carried it.

Final Verdict
The claim hereby stands false and there has been no such case of coronavirus reported from Bihar’s Purnia.
For the uninitiated, the total number of coronavirus cases in India rose to 5,865, while the death toll is now 169, according to data on the Union Health Ministry website. Meanwhile, Odisha became the first state to extend the lockdown.
