Fact Check: Sir Syed Ahmad Khan's viral image on Burj Khalifa is photoshopped

A photo is going viral on social media in which Sir Syed Ahmad Khan’s image on Burj Khalifa is seen. He was noted Indian philosopher and reformer, and founder of Aligarh Muslim University.

The claim along with the photo says it is a tribute by the UAE government to Sir Syed Ahmad Khan on 202nd Sir Syed Day which is the birth anniversary of its founder.

However, when a Google reverse image search was done on the viral photograph, it was found that the image was photoshopped. The original photo does not show any image being displayed on the Burj Khalifa, the tallest skyscraper in the world with a height of over 2,700 feet and a popular tourist destination.

Any media report regarding the tribute to Sir Syed Ahmad Khan by the UAE government was also not found. Even on the Twitter handle of Burj Khalifa, there was no post related to Sir Syed Ahmad Khan’s tribute.

When India Today contacted the team of Burj Khalifa, they confirmed that the viral image is photoshopped and LED projections are not possible in the daylight.
