Fairoz Khan, of Jammu and Kashmir, has been selected as the new President of the All India NSUI. In a press release released by All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Monday, the news of his selection has been confirmed.
Congress Vice-President, Rahul Gandhi, had earlier appointed a screening committee to shortlist the deserving candidates for the
Presidentship of the All India NSUI. He then interviewed the candidates personally and chose Fairoz for the post.
Congress President, Mrs Sonia Gandhi, has accorded her approval to the appointment of Khan as the NSUI President for the next two years with immediate effect.
