With the release of FIFA 23, there was an immediate expectation that we would see a better World Cup Mode. Since 2014, the game has made an effort to provide something unique for its fans.
In 2022, we will see the most recent iteration of mode. The hype train has already begun, with many fans eager to see what awaits them in-game. Previously, the World Cup mode felt like a form of in-game free DLC. The hype surrounding the upcoming World Cup is insane, and there are high hopes that this promotion will deliver as well.
FIFA World Cup 23 Mode
Fans have previously been able to play the World Cup with the various participating teams in previous FIFA iterations. The same will be seen in FIFA 23, with an exclusive World Cup Mode in the offline section of the game. The new content for FIFA 23 will include both offline and FUT modes. When we enter the offline mode of the game, we will be able to play the World Cup in all of its glory.
After selecting a team in-game, players can choose to play against the AI or against other players. Following that, they will have to compete in the tournament’s knockout rounds in order to win the cup. In the offline section, the players want to try out some teams that haven’t qualified for the World Cup in real life. They can do so by swapping with the additional 15 nations included in the game. In the online mode, players can also play actual tournament matches and try to replicate the score or change the outcome of the game.
FUT CONTENT EXCLUSIVE
In FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, players will have access to six new types of cards. Because there will be time-sensitive promotions held during matchday. While most fans are looking forward to the FUT Hero Cards that will be available in-game. These are the unique cards that were created with the assistance of Marvel. In the past, these players have had some of the most memorable World Cup moments. With the addition of all updated national kits for the upcoming World Cup.
There will also be exclusive skins available for in-game stadium upgrades. Keeping in mind that these will include national flags and Tifos. Players will also be given temporary cards within their World Cup club. Using these cards, players can complete game objectives as well as SBCs.
These cards will be removed from everyone’s club once the World Cup or event has ended. Players can now test out players who were previously unavailable.
HERO CARDS FOR MARVEL FIFA 23
The Marvel Hero Cards that will be available in-game are the main focus of the World Cup mode. These players will be boosted from their regular Hero card while also receiving a hero in the form of a Marvel face card. With names like Forlan, Lucio, Papin, Okocha, and Nakata available for everyone to try. This is the first time EA has collaborated with another company to launch in-game cards. While those who pre-ordered will receive a pack containing one player from the stacked lineup.
While previous FIFA iterations of the game reminded most of the Arcade experience, the World Cup does not. With the likes of past legends in-game, it will only be a matter of time before EA Sports decides how to send off the final iteration of FIFA for the foreseeable future.
There are only a few days left. FIFA 23 World Cup Mode will be available on November 9th.
