Five More Arrested in Bihar Teacher Recruitment Exam Paper Leak Case: Bihar Police arrested five more people from Madhya Pradesh, including a woman, in connection with the suspected leak of question papers for the March Teachers Recruitment Exam (TRE)-3.
The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) announced late Saturday that they seized all five suspects who are group members in Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh). They have obtained a transit remand to return to Patna. We obtained critical evidence from their location and will present it in Patna court on Monday.
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) canceled the TRE-3 examination in response to allegations of a paper breach. We will disclose a revised examination date at a later time. 415 centers administered the TRE-3 examinations on March 15. Roughly 3.75 lakh candidates participated in the examination.
On March 16, the EOU filed a First Information Report (FIR) under multiple sections of the IPC. The EOU dispatched a special team on March 15 to conduct raids across multiple locations in Hazaribagh (Jharkhand) and apprehend 266 individuals in relation to the purported paper breach.
