Deputy Speaker of Delhi Vidhan Sabha and five times MLA from matia Mahal, Shoaib Iqbal joined the Aam Aadmi Party today in the presence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Along with him, MCD Councillors from INC Aley Mohammed Iqbal and Sultana Abad too joined the Delhi’s ruling party.
Aam Aadmi Party broke the news by taking it to their official Twitter handle, with the caption “Former MLA and Dy Speaker of Delhi Vidhan Sabha Shoaib Iqbal, MCD Councillors from INC Aley Mohammed Iqbal and Sultana Abad joined Aam Aadmi Party today in the presence of CM @ArvindKejriwal”.

The development came at the time when the national capital is gearing up for the Assembly elections scheduled for February 8. The results for Delhi elections will be announced on February 11.
