From The Family Man 2 to The Girl on A Train, this month surely has different hopes, so let’s take a look at the Hindi shows and movies for the month of February here!
The Family Man 2- Amazon Prime- 12 February
From its thriller intimidating nature to captivating us with the ‘what would happen again’ this Amazon Prime series after a very long wait is finally all set to release this month. The Family Man series star a middle-class man Srikant Tiwari, who is an agent for National Investigation Agency and is on a lookout for a terrorist.
As the series is set to release next week, the cast is rounded off by Sharib Hashmi, Priyamani, Sharad Kelkar, and Shreya Dhanwanthary, and also stars South Indian actress Samantha Akkineni.
The Girl On the Train- Netflix- 26 February
An adaptation of Paula Hawkins’ debut novel from 2015, The Girl on the Train made its Hollywood debut in 2016 with Emily Blunt, who received many awards for her incredible role. Now this book is being adapted in Hindi, and well, only time can tell, if this adaptation will work in the Bollywood cinema or not.
In the Hindi adaptation, Parineeti Chopra plays the lead role of Meera, an alcoholic divorcee who watches a happy couple from her daily commute on the train. Other than her, the movie stars Aditi Rao Hydari and Kirti Kulhari.
1962: The War In The Hills- Disney+Hotstar- 26 February
1962: The War In The Hills is based on the Indo-China war of 1962, and stars Abhay Deol in the lead role. It is the story of 126 Indian soldiers who defended a strategic pass against 3,000 enemy soldiers.
The military drama been described as the untold story of Indian heroes and has become even more relevant since the Galwan Valley clash in June this past year.
Lahore Confidential- ZEE 5- 4 February
After the 2020s hit London Confidential, Zee5 is back with the second sequel of the spy series and this time, Richa Chadha would be seen essaying the role of Indian spy Ananya, who befriends ISI agent Rauf (Arunoday Singh). Bonded by their love of Urdu literature, the two fall in love – amid growing border tensions between the two countries.
