Speaking at an event on the occasion of Teacher’s Day, Madhya Pradesh chief minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, on Tuesday said that he, in his tenure, has ensured that teachers in the state receive a respectable amount as their salaries.
While addressing the gathering, he said, “We changed the culture here. We made it better for the teachers. We created a respectable environment here. We ensure that the teachers are paid well.”
Chouhan further criticised the Blue Whale game, which has claimed the lives of several children across the country.
“The Blue Whale game is not a part of our culture. I have called for an investigation into the matter,” the CM said.
He then paid respect to all the teachers and said that had he not joined politics, he would have chosen to become a teacher.
