While the world knows pop-singer Rihanna for risqué music videos and striking fashion statements, she has been very socially active off stage. From fund-raising live performances to creating her own organisation to help terminally ill children, there is an incredible amount of charity work which she has done.
Grammy award-winning singer Rihanna has time and again proven her dedication to helping children in need. In another such instance, Rihana on Tuesday took to Twitter making a public appeal to four major nations of the world, asking for their participation in making education free.
Making an appeal to Germany, France, Canada and Argentina, Rihana tweeted:
?? @JustinTrudeau I know you had our backs during the #GlobalCitizen Festival, will you recommit Canada to #FundEducation?

?? bonjour @EmmanuelMacron, will France commit to #FundEducation?

Education is widely accepted to be a fundamental resource, both for individuals and societies. Indeed, in most countries basic education is nowadays perceived not only as a right but also as a duty – governments are typically expected to ensure access to basic education, while citizens are often required by law to attain education up to a certain basic level.
As Rihanna publically requested the initiation of the top loftiest world leaders, it is yet to see if these countries come forward to collaborate with the pop star in helping create a better education system.
