Gujarat polls: Rahul Gandhi receives warm welcome in Anand; eats 'pav bhaaji' at local shop

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Friday received a never-before welcome in Gujarat’s Anand during the high-octane campaigning in the poll-bound state. A massive crowd can be seen cheering for the Congress president with flashing the lights from their phones and chanting ‘Congress aave che’.

Earlier in the evening, Rahul stopped by a ‘pav bhaaji’ stall in Tarapur for a delicious bite. Locals quickly gathered to the ‘thela’ selling the street food as soon as they saw Gandhi has ordered a plate of pav bhaaji for himself.

In a video shared on Instagram, Rahul can be seen encircled by locals on a street in Tarapur. He can be seen waiting for his plate of pav bhaji while the stall-owner prepares a fresh serving dish.

Gujarat is filled with lovely people. Enjoyed delicious Pav Bhaji in Tarapur, Anand Dist. during Navsarjan Yatra.
