Haj Qurrah 2019: Steps to check your name in Maharashtra pilgrims final list

Maharashtra Haj Committee on Monday, January 7, held the computerised Haj Qurrah, the draw of lots, to prepare the final list of pilgrims. The Qurrah is being conducted to prepare the final list of pilgrims from Maharashtra who will perform Haj in 2019 through the Haj Committee of India.

The Maharashtra Haj Committee has a quota of 11,907 pilgrims, based on its Muslim population of 129,71,152. However, it had received 35,658 applications.

On Friday, the Haj Committee of India released state-wise allocation of seats for Haj 2019. It distributed a total quota of 1,75,025 seats to pilgrim going to Haj through the committee. Subsequently, 1,25,025 pilgrims will travel for Haj through the Haj Committee of India, while the remaining 50,000 seats had been allotted to Private Tour Operators.

Government defends allocation of pilgrims quota under Haj policy

Haj 2019 is expected to begin in the evening of August 9 (Friday) and is likely to end in the evening of August 14 (Wednesday). However, these dates are tentative and may vary from the actual dates.

Follow the steps given below to check your name on the final list of Haj 2019 –

  1. Go to the official website of Haj Committee of India – hajcommittee.gov.in.
  2. Browse to the bottom of home page and fill in the required details.
  3. Enter your Cover No in the box. Your Cover No should start with your state code.
  4. Click on the Down Arrow from ‘Select State’ menu and select your state.
  5. Enter Passport No in the box.
  6. Click on the “Load” button.
  7. Your application status should appear on the computer or mobile phone screen.

Haj pilgrims should note that the Hajj 2019 Flight Schedule from all embarkation points will be released by the Haj Committee of India only after the process of the Haj Qurrah is completed by all states.
