Haryana: Panipat BSP leader shot dead in Samalkha

Samalkha: Sukhdev alias Pollu (40), resident of Jorasi village and treasurer of BSP for the Samalkha constituency was shot dead on Friday.

The two assailants were caught on camera and the police has identified them. The reason for the murder is suspected to be an old enmity.

After the gunshots were heard, people rushed to the spot and took him to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

The police has filed a case on Sukhdev’s brother, Trilok’s statement.

Earlier in the state, a wrestler lost his life after he was shot by three assailants during a wrestling tournament organised in Juan village. The deceased, identified as Keshav Singh, was a resident of Gadhmirakpur village in Sonipat. The accused were identified as Dinesh of Juan, Sahil of Karsola and a minor from the Karewri village.

Reportedly, the incident had occurred while Keshav was warming up for his match, the assailants came in the ring from behind, following which they shot Keshav in the head. His uncle Satpal rushed to the hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
