The rumor that India’s national anthem Jana Gana Mana has been declared s the best in the world by UNECSCO has been long circulating. It has now reached even to the school books.
According to a journalist one of fifth class books, Jharoka-5, has the information of India’s national anthem being declared as the best in the world by UNESCO, a specialized UN body based in Paris.

In the images shared, the page on which the national anthem of India is written, had the said information. The text reads, “Our national anthem is not only our identity but it is also our honour, prestige and pride. It is of extreme pride for all the Indian citizen that UNESCO has declared Jana Gana Mana as the best national anthem.”
UNESCO had earlier quashed such rumours, saying that “no such award has been announced.”
