WhatsApp and Instagram are one of the most used social media application which enables users to link with friends or people all over the geographical, political or economic borders. Unlike other social media apps that rely on both, text and pictures.

Instagram’s sole purpose is to enable users to share images or videos with their audience.

The apps add new features for its users and last year WhatsApp introduced a feature that allows users to share their WhatsApp Status updates as Instagram Stories and also to other apps. This feature to share WhatsApp Status as Instagram Story is available on both Android and iOS.

In WhatsApp, if you have multiple status updates then you can choose which updates you want to share as Instagram Stories.

Here is a step-by-step guide you can follow to share WhatsApp status update as an Instagram story.

Steps to share WhatsApp status update as Instagram story

  • Step 1: Firstly, open WhatsApp on your device.
  • Step 2: Next, go to the Status tab.
  • Step 3: Create a status update on your Android or iPhone device.
  • Step 4: Now, tap My Status on iPhone or More by My status on Android
  • Step 5: Next, tap More icon (three dots) next to the status update you want to share
  • Step 6: At last, tap Share, multiple apps will appear on the screen.
  • Step 7: Select Instagram stories to share your status update.
  • Step 8: It will redirect you to Instagram.
  • Step 9: After making all the changes, you can simply Share the story.

You can even share a photo or video from Instagram story to feed. Also, keep in mind that Instagram stories disappear from your profile, Feed and Direct inbox after 24 hours, unless you add them to your profile as story highlights.
