After the Honda Amaze special edition, Honda Cars India has added yet another special edition model and this time for the CR-V. Christened Honda CR-V special edition, the SUV gets a price tag of ₹29.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This makes it expensive by ₹1.23 lakh as compared to the standard model, which retails at ₹28.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Now, let’s take a look at what’s special about this model of the Honda SUV in India. The Japanese automaker is actually offering plenty of cosmetic upgrades for the SUV with this special edition. This is because the car is based on the facelifted iteration of the SUV, which is already being retailed in international markets.

Talking about the design-related changes — the Honda CR-V special edition SUV features a slightly revised fascia that now features a glossy black grille with LED headlights and an all-new bumper. Other changes with the Honda SUV’s design are rather minor. The interior too features only a handful of cosmetic changes, rounded off by the addition of plenty of new features. With this edition, the SUV gets cornering function for the fog lamps, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, front parking sensors, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, cruise control, etc. For safety, it comes equipped with provisions such as six airbags, a Honda lane watch camera, ABS with EBD, electronic parking brake, hill launch assist, etc.

It comes powered by the same 2.0-litre SOHC i-VTEC petrol engine as the standard model. Available in combination with a CVT unit, this motor belts out a maximum power of 152 bhp at 6,500 rpm along with a peak torque of 189 Nm at 4,300 rpm.
