HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Twitter LIVE updates: HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank is live on Twitter from 1 PM today to answer the several queries of parents and students regarding the exams that have been deferred or cancelled from his official Twitter handle.
The Covid-19 lockdown has messed up the entire education system, especially because this is the end of the academic school year.
The HRD minister said that he will meet with all the education ministers of India on April 28 in order to discuss how each state can work through the education problems arising due to the lockdown.
On Pending CBSE Board Exam 2020 Dates, HRD Minister said that 29 subjects examination would be conducted after the lockdown opens. The other exams have been cancelled. Other updates are available on cbse.nic.in. Also trying to start the evaluation process for CBSE Results 2020 as the answer books as they were also left and work would start soon.
Yukti portal and NCERT alternative calendar launched by MHRD has been performing well. Bharat Padhe Online and Vidyadaan is also an initiative that is helping students to learn. Students and parents can also ask questions on these portals.
Ramesh Pokhriyal asked parents not to pressurize students for 24 hours study, but that they must be ready to take the remaining exams as soon as lockdown ends.
Ramesh Pokhriyal while speaking LIVE on Twitter about 'My Book, My Friend', a mission launched just a few days ago. He said, "the friend that never leaves your side all your life is your books and knowledge". He asked students to read more during the lockdown and make books your lifetime 'friends'.
Ramesh Pokhriyal during the Twitter live session reminded students and parents that online classes and learning resources were available on several government websites such as -- SWAYAM, DIKSHA, SWAYAM Prabha, e-pathshala.
The HRD minister listed all the steps taken related to education during the Covid-19 lockdown. From conducting CBSE board exams for 29 selected main subjects after lockdown to direct promotions of young students.
The HRD Minister assures students and parents that it is allowed to open shops selling textbooks, which means that students waiting for the new semester can continue studying at home.
In response to a question from Guwahati, Ramesh Pokhriyal said that the whole world is facing a tough time amid Covid-19 lockdown. So, they should take the matter of their health in their own hands and protect themselves using health apps such as Aarogya Setu.
The HRD Minister answered a student's question from Odisha, who asked about how class 12th students can study online and directed him to DIKSHA and e-pathshala portals.
