What Is New This Year
This time ICAI is trying something new to help students feel more ready. A standard orientation programme will be held in all centres. This will help candidates understand how the placement process works and what companies expect from them.
These sessions will also give students an idea about different job roles and careers. It will also help them prepare better for interviews, so they do not feel confused or nervous during the process.
Why This Placement Drive is Important
The ICAI placement drive is very important for students who just became Chartered Accountants. It gives them their first real chance to get a job. Many companies from fields like finance, audit, tax, consulting, and even forensic work take part in this drive.
This means students can explore many types of careers. It is not just about one kind of job anymore. The options are growing every year.
What Companies are Looking For?
This year also many companies are expected to join. Jobs in audit and tax will still be there in large numbers. But now there are more chances in consulting and financial advisory too. This shows that CA students now have more career paths than before.
The demand for Chartered Accountants is increasing in different industries. So students can expect good opportunities if they prepare well.
Last Year Numbers Show Strong Demand
In the last ICAI placement cycle, there were more than 10,200 job offers. The highest salary offered in India was Rs 32.33 lakh per year. These numbers clearly show that companies are ready to pay well for skilled CA professionals.
Extra Training Before Placements
Before the placement process, ICAI also held the CA Career Catalyst Programme 2026. This was done online from March 15 to March 22. In this programme, students learned about finance, tax, audit, and mergers and acquisitions.
There was also focus on soft skills. Students were trained for group discussions and HR interviews. This helped them feel more confident before the real placement interviews begin.
