While campaigning for the Jannayak Janata Party’s independent candidate Digvijay Chautala for the upcoming Jind Assembly Bypoll, party founder Dushyant Singh Chautala mistakenly asked people to vote for INLD symbol, glasses. After the party workers pointed it out to Dushyant he soon corrected himself amid a burst of laughter.

Jind Legislative Assembly Bypoll was called for after the constituency MLA Hari Chand Middha, INLD representative died of heart attack in August last year. The JJP party had to contest its candidate as an Independent as the Election Commission is yet to allocate them a permanent symbol. The party would be using a cup plate symbol for the Jind elections.

Party hope Digvijay Singh Chautala is the richest contesting for the Jind Assembly bypoll elections. With an asset worth of 23 crores, Digvijay is for the first time participating in an election.

In 2014 Lok Sabha Elections Dushyant Singh Chautala became the youngest elected Member of Parliament when he won from the Hisar constituency.
